After missing a class designed to recreate one’s pet in paper mache, I decided to see what I could do on my own. Sure, I’m making basic bowls and whatnot, but I’m also having fun with paper pulp and silicone molds. Maybe next weekend I’ll be able to paint them. However, the real labor of love and source of creative excitement is the squid I started. Here’s the frame. I have nothing but high hopes!
Ready for Day of the Dead
Time to put the clay away
Time to put the clay away
More hedgehogs from/in clay
I cannot seem to stop messing with clay, can’t stop wanting to perfect a hedgehog cane. The goofy thing is that last night’s attempt ended up looking like a hedgehog and a sea monkey had a baby. Oh well, I kind of dig it.
The top cane uses the hedgehogs I made a few weeks ago. I like them better when they’re smaller. They look a little less like Lambchop.
