About me

I’m a Seattle-based writer/editor by trade who makes things. I dabble. I experiment. I play. Sometimes my efforts are triumphs. Other times … let’s just say that I’m 100% OK with prototypes.

I favor hedgehogs, squids, elephants and platypuses. I gravitate toward the colors orange, green (the pukier, the better), blue and brown.

Things I have too much of: glitter, yarn, socks, eyeshadow and scrapbook paper. Oh, and distance between me and my Indiana-dwelling sister.

My mother is the best spokesmodel a jewelry maker could have.  My sister-in-law has been pretty great with that, too.

And then there’s the Unicorn: He is the reason for many, and almost painfully, big smiles. I love him verily.
